We are writing to you today with an update on some planned changes to the cargo meal coupons issued to your drivers as part of their bookings for our vessels, which we kindly ask you to share with your cargo drivers.
From 30 September 2024 onwards, the cargo meal coupons can be used as follows:
The Cargo meal coupons issued to drivers are intended for food consumption in the ships’ on-site restaurants.
The sales points, where the coupons are accepted, are:
- Buffet restaurants – The main dining place for drivers on all ships (dinner, lunch and breakfast).
- The Drivers’ Lounge (shuttle vessels Megastar and MyStar) – Buffet is served based on the number of drivers and buffet reservations.
As an alternative, dining is also possible at:
- A la carte restaurants – Dining at standard prices, and the voucher covers part of the bill up to its value. The remaining amount can be paid with a card or cash. The coupon cannot be used to pay for alcoholic beverages or tobacco products. The coupon can be used as partial payment for a special breakfast, with the remaining amount to be paid separately.
- Fast Lane (+ cafes) – Drivers' catering at the sales point at regular menu prices up to the coupon value. The coupon cannot be used to purchase or pay for packaged takeaway items (chocolates, candies, desserts, peanuts, candy boxes, and sweets), nor can it be used to purchase tobacco products, energy drinks, or alcoholic beverages. The coupon is meant for warm and cold meals, non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks, cakes, sandwiches and pastry for consuming onboard.
